06/23/2011 - By Los Angeles, CA

Thrive/Survive Los Angeles and ONEHOPE Wine teamed up for a night of wine tasting and shopping for charity at the fashionable boutique Mimi & Hy Thursday, June 23.

Actress & celebrity guest DJ Taryn Manning was on hand to spin great music as guests sampled a variety of great wines and shopped at this sleek boutique.10% of all purchases were donated to Thrive/Survive Los Angeles, the resource community for young adult cancer survivors.

About Thrive/Survive Los Angeles
A large, unrecognized and previously under-served community of young adults (18-49) are surviving cancer. Often considered too young for traditional post-treatment services and too old for pediatric services, now they have an organization to help them thrive. Thrive/Survive Los Angeles was recently co-founded by two young cancer survivors, to provide young adult cancer survivors access to various medical and lifestyle resources as well as a host of networking events and informational seminars. The Thrive/Survive resources include practitioners and businesses willing to work pro bono or on a sliding scale. The website also serves as a community for post-treatment young adults in the Los Angeles area with a unique understanding of survivors’ psychosocial and physical needs. Assistance includes resources for health and wellness programs, financial aid services and community events. For additional information , please visit www.thrivesurvive.org
